THE GOODY

We first begun the design process by visiting the site in Cincinnati and diagraming the space to better understand it. Our class was to add however many square feet to the interiors, of Rally's Restaurant or The Goody Shop Ice Cream Shop, to create a branding workplace for about eight people. I chose The Goody Shop Ice Cream Shop as my site. 

 

There were four spaces to consider our spatial iterations for the spaces, Collaboration Space -- 400 square feet including conference rooms and pocket rooms, Work Space -- 500 square feet including heads down desks and a private office, Social Space -- 400 square feet including threshold reception lounge kitchen and a break room, Back of House 300 square feet including bathrooms supply printing photo library and mechanical. 

After the Parameters were set we were to individually choose a brand in which we wanted to attract with the space. My aesthetic and brand I chose to attract with my space was Anthropologie, a fun, bohemian, natural, clothing brand targeting women around 30 - 50 but also very noteably recognized for their creative art installations and material manipulation in their retail windows and throughout their retail spaces. 

This essentially lead me to my Parti, a grand entry way emphasizing a vertical articulation and art installations.
