Weekend of October 8, 2017 spent visiting Luana and Mitch at Denver University and University of Wyoming. First snow of the year.

"Reading Days" aka Fall break gave me the opportunity to have a little get away. Luana has been one of my best friends throughout High School and now goes to the University of Wyoming. She and I made plans to visit eachother during this long weekend, so I flew over to Colorado, Saturday morning.

Once I arrived Lu and I sprinted into eachother. I swear time slowed as we hugged and danced around. We were so extatic to see eachother, but it was funny how we just picked up where we had left off.

We spent the afternoon in Boulder, Co eating at a restaurant a friend suggested, The Buff. After that we walked around a bit and headed up to Laramie, WY. The drive was AMAZING.

I turned to her and said, "Lu, you LIVE out here... like actually live amongst all this... it's beautiful. No way you're ever comin back."

She replied "I know. No way I ever am."

The next day we spent in Medicine Bow Park. It was confusing seeing snow in September when I'm used to it in December or later. Her friends and boyfriend, she had introduced me to the night before, joined our adventures... and later in the snow ball fight as well.

The sky was so blue and it was amazing being out in the nature... Refreshing after I was used to sitting in the studio all day. The high altitude definitly gave everyone some troubles with hiking far. We were winded.

Luana then took me to Mitch's place at Denver University. Denver was a really interesting campus, because it's super lengthy one way but has a short width. They didn't have fall break the same time as me so I sat in some of his classes with him during the day.

We got free coffee inbetween the classes which was really nice. I guess they put that out on the square for students to grab during the first snow of the season. The snow was perfect.

Mitch told me all about his time at Denver so far. He told me about some tiny, friendly, bears that hide in the trees around campus. I was sad a one didn't come out after me. Supposedly that happens. But, I'll just have to wait for next time.

Tuesday came and I had to get back to my classes. I'll miss the mountains and my friends. Can't wait to see everyone again over the holiday breaks.

XOXO,

~M~
